Dianne Zack claims a forty year involvement with glass, beginning her career sharing a successful stained glass studio with her husband, Gary Zack. She began making beads in 1998, and has studied with internationally recognized bead artists. Dianne hand makes each bead in her designs by melting imported and domestic glass rods in the 2000 degree flame of an oxygen/propane torch. She often adds silver or 23k gold foil to the hot glass, as well as dichroic glass and enamels, to achieve a variety of surface characteristics and color shadings.
Dianne composes and assembles each of her jewelry designs, and often finds inspiration from the color and textures of natural materials, incorporating high-quality, hand selected metals, semi-precious stones and pearls. Some materials have a limited availability, thus variations in design will occur, lending a one-of-a-kind feel to the work.
Each Series has distinct characteristics, from the hand-drilled beach stones in the Race Point Series, to the opulent, finely detailed gold filigree in the Florentine Series. Rich and playful color studies define the Gallery and One-of-a-Kind Series and the Fine Silver and Disc and Ring Series offer an affordable, more casual style.
Each bracelet and necklace is identified with a signature tag bearing Dianne's initials.
